Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the leadership team with geotechnical investigations, including solid and hollow flight augering, rotary mud and air drilling, sonic drilling as well as wireline and conventional diamond coring.
* Perform general maintenance tasks and daily completion of reports and safety documents.
* Operate drills and equipment safely, in line with localised legislation, regulations and site and company policies and procedures.
* Report effectively and efficiently through the appropriate chain of command and channels on a day-to-day basis.
* Provide training and guidance to drill teams.
* Solve non-routine downhole and surface issues as they arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a driller.
* Ability to work away when required.
* Ability to obtain a minimum HR truck license.
* Cert III in drilling or industry equivalent (desirable – enrolment onto Cert III on commencement).
* NSW Class 1 or greater, water well license (desirable – enrolment onto Cert III on commencement).
* Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential).
* NSW White Card.
* Current and valid RISI (preferred but not essential).
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of D&A test.
* Ability to obtain a Police Clearance upon request.
