Job Overview
Civil Engineers play a vital role in building resiliency and leading the way in water management. As floods, droughts, and storms increase in frequency and intensity, the industry must adapt to pre-empt and prepare for what's next.
Key Responsibilities
* Dams projects including water dams and tailings dams for municipal, mining, agriculture, and hydropower uses throughout Northern Australia.
* Technical delivery with geotechnical, structural, and/or design management skills applied to dams and/or tailings projects.
* Client relationship management, business development, proposal development, reports, and technical analysis.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years post-graduation experience in dams engineering.
* Chartered RPEQ engineer status preferred or working towards this status.
* Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) or higher qualifications.
* Knowledge of design for a broad range of dam types, including embankment and concrete dams.
* Familiarity with Queensland dam safety legislation an advantage.
* Knowledge of elements including spillway design, dam design, outlets, intake towers, hydropower facilities, dam safety, and risk assessments.
* Experience working in multi-disciplined teams.
