Your new role
As a Community Safety Officer, you'll lead the coordination and delivery of safety and crime prevention initiatives that support children, seniors, vulnerable groups, and broader emergency preparedness. You'll work across internal teams and external agencies to implement programs that foster safer neighbourhoods and community resilience.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing community safety programs e.g. CCTV subsidies, graffiti prevention
* Maintaining and updating crime prevention and emergency response plans
* Facilitating workshops, stakeholder engagement, and community events
* Preparing funding applications and contributing to public communications
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in community safety or emergency preparedness programs
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to manage projects independently and deliver timely outcomes
* Experience with multi-agency agreements and contract management
* Relevant qualifications in community safety or emergency management (desirable)
