Join a highly regarded commercial construction company that specialises in projects across the commercial workplace and education sectors predominantly, split between both commercial new build and fit out projects.

They are known for providing a professional and collaborative service, with extensive experience in both new and live operational sites across commercial, government, and education sectors.
The existing Estimating team are committed to high-quality project delivery through careful assessment, planning, adherence to documentation, critical path progression, cost control, and partnership with the wider project team to ensure a smooth handover to the delivery phases.
The Role:
- Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements
- Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to gather necessary information for accurate estimations
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements
- Maintain and update estimating databases and records
- Support in the development of project budgets and schedules
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the estimating process
- Stay updated on industry trends, construction materials, and best practices.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a construction related field
- Minimum 10 experience as an Estimator in Sydney, so you are familiar with the local subcontractors and processes
- A good understanding of the Tender and Estimation process, with the ability to learn quickly and be adaptable to clients requirements
- Understanding of RFI's, BOQ's and ability to read drawings & measurements
- Extremely high attention to detail and quality of works
- Familiarity with Estimating software such as CostX/Buildsoft Cubit
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Happy to work in a team of 5 Estimators and collaborate with your colleagues in the existing team
- Unfortunately if you have no experience working in Australia or have only worked for a subcontractor, you will not be the right fit for this role.
