**Brisbane, Australia Office**

Fixed term contract of 12 months, with likelihood to be made permanent position

**Role purpose**:
Reporting to the Senior HRBP, the ER/WHS Human Resources Advisor provides operational support to the business in all areas relating to Employee and Industrial Relations, WH&S;, Performance Management, General HR administration, Remuneration Management, Succession Planning and Recruitment and Selection.

Whilst this role will encompass the full scope of HR activities its primary focus will be on supporting the business on all matters relating to Employment and Industrial Relations and Workplace Health and Safety.

The role will also work closely with the Senior HRBP on key HR and business projects.

**Key Responsibilities include**:
**Employee Relations expertise**:

- Seek and provide advice to team members and management on the interpretation of the modern awards, Fair Work Act and Allianz Partners Enterprise Agreement and other relevant legislation.
- Seek and provide advice and mentor Managers completing the performance management processes.
- Develop an understanding of IR legislation changes and case law and how they may affect the Allianz Worldwide Partners business.
- Responsible for contributing to the maintenance, and training of the Enterprise Agreement.
- Assist in the investigation and reporting of grievances within your area of responsibility or other areas as required.
- Keep up to date, accurate and confidential case notes as per the required system, process.
- Advise and assist team members and managers accurately and courteously on HR queries or concerns as per procedures.
- Contribute to a harmonious work environment through provision of advice/support on HR matters such as; dispute handling, counselling and disciplinary issues, award interpretation, industrial matters and grievances.
- Assist in resolving business issues as delegated by the Senior HRBP

**Industrial Relations experience**:

- Act as the primary point of contact for all Industrial Relations matters within the workplace.
- Liaise with employment relations jurisdictions such as Fair Work Australia, Human Rights Commission and State and Federal WorkCover authorities to ensure AWP fully complies with its legal obligations and directions of such entities.
- Work closely with internal and external legal counsel on matters relating to employment relations so as to ensure the best position is achieved for AWP.
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with industrial organisations and advocacy groups to ensure that members' rights are understood and principles underpinning consultation is adhered to in all instances.
- As the Subject Matter Expert in IR work closely with the Human Resources Business Partners and HR Advisors to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Australian Industrial Relations environment as well as legislative and common law reforms and amendments.

**WHS & Rehabilitiation**
- Oversee the WH&S; framework for AWP and proactively participate in efforts to identify risks and eliminate all forms of hazards that pose a risk to Health and safety.
- Continually seek opportunities to develop an improve AWP WH&S; processes and procedures.
- In conjunction with the HRBP and HR Advisors act as a Rehabilitation Officer within the business on matters dealing with Workers Compensation and non-Workers Compensation cases.
- Keep up to date, accurate and confidential case notes as per the required system, process.
- Be the first point of contact for all WHS items within own area of the business and support the overall WHS program as directed by the Senior HRBP.

**HR Projects**:

- Provide key HR Project support with the Senior HRBP / Other members of the P&C; Team on key HR projects as directed by the Senior HRBP
- Take ownership in administering key HR projects such as reward and recognition, bonus auditing or other activities as delegated by the Senior HRBP.
- Any other duties as requested by the Senior HRBP or other People & Culture Leadership team member.

**As the successful WHS & ER Consultant, you will be able to show**:

- Committment for a FTC 12 month contract.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, WH&S; or a related business discipline essential.
- Minimum 2 years generalist Human Resources or relevant experience.
- Qualifications as a Certificate IV Workplace Assessor, Rehabilitation Co-ordinator and Workplace Health and Safety Officer are desirable but not essential.
- Experience working in a quick-paced ever changing business.
- Lead projects as an HR expert
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening and decision making skills.
