Role Overview
As a Survey Technician, you\'ll be empowered with field-based surveying capabilities for design, construction, and engineering-based survey projects. You\'ll work both autonomously and collaboratively with field crews, draftspersons, and senior licensed surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out field surveys meticulously to company standards and quality assurance systems
- Calculate and adapt field files for surveys, including onsite data processing
- Upload and download project files and data management
- Set out points, offsets, lines, marks, profiles, pins, and pegs including repair work
- Collect property data for contour and detail projects
- Maintain best practice survey data storage and file management
- Reduce and process survey data accurately
- Ensure compliance with company QA processes and industry guidelines
- Identify and escalate non-conformance issues requiring corrective action
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
- Support land development, construction, and engineering survey projects

What We\'re Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Surveying (or currently working towards one)
- 3+ years\' experience in residential surveying
- Strong technical skills with modern survey equipment and CAD software
- Valid Queensland driver\'s licence and full working rights in Australia
- General Construction Induction Card
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Clear communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Commitment to quality assurance and error-free deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Surveyors with SBQ Registration are preferred
- Background in development surveys
