Secondary Learning Support Assistant – L31 Area
Immediate Start, £95‐£110 per day, Full‐time
About the Role
You will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, focusing on students who need additional learning support. This includes pupils with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), or those who benefit from targeted academic intervention.
Your role will involve both in‐class support and small group or one‐to‐one work, helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop essential learning and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to students within lessons across a range of subjects.
* Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
* Support students with additional needs, adapting resources where necessary.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral teams.
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with secondary‐aged pupils in a school‐based or similar setting.
* A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
* Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
