Offer description

This role is being offered as a 12-month Maximum-Term Contract.

As a Project Manager at PwC Australia, you will focus on optimising project portfolios to drive strategic business outcomes. You will oversee and coordinate various projects to facilitate successful delivery within budget and timeline. You will leverage strong organisational and communication skills to effectively manage teams and stakeholders.

Why PwC?

At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You'll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.

Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we're building trust and shaping the future.

What you'll do:

* Lead end‐to‐end delivery of strategic and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment to the firm's business strategy and operating model.
* Develop and maintain robust integrated project plans, including scope, schedule, resource planning, benefits, and change impacts.
* Partner with business owners and workstream leads to translate their priorities into clear Charters, deliverables workplans and measurable outcomes aligned to the overall program objectives.
* Conduct proactive risk, issue, and dependency management — maintaining clear visibility of what could impact delivery and ensuring actions are owned and tracked.
* Facilitate timely escalations, structured decision‐making, and approvals — ensuring the right discussions happen with the right stakeholders at the right time, and standing up forums or working groups as needed to support progress.
* Prepare and deliver high‐quality reporting for governance forums including Project Sponsors, SteerCos, and leadership teams.
* Coordinate cross‐functional teams across Lines of Service (LoS) and Enabling Functions to ensure alignment and successful execution.
* Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, burn rate, and reporting of benefits to relevant governance committees.
* Apply PwC delivery methodologies, using hybrid/agile approaches where appropriate to drive efficient delivery.
* Ensure compliance with PwC risk, quality, and data governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Use firm‐approved delivery tools such as Jira, MS Project, Planner, Confluence, Power BI, and SharePoint to support consistency and transparency.

What we're looking for:

* 5+ years' project management experience delivering complex or cross‐functional initiatives.
* Experience delivering strategic or growth‐led transformation initiatives, working in large, matrixed environments or professional services organisations.
* Experience driving adoption of new processes, services, technologies, or capability uplift programs.
* Bachelor's degree in business, technology, operations or related discipline.
* PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master certifications desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, financials, risks, and stakeholder communications across multiple projects.
* Proficiency in PwC‐standard tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Miro, Power BI, and SharePoint.
* Hands‐on use of AI tools in your work (even if self‐directed), and a genuine interest in how AI is transforming how businesses operate and deliver value.

What you'll gain:

* The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting‐edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.
* Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what's best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.
* Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.
* Generous leave entitlements to support your work‐life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.
* A world‐class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
