About The Role
A Medical Receptionist Trainee is the first point of contact for patients at our medical clinics. This entry-level role offers potential for growth and development and is supervised by experienced health professionals. You should NOT hold a Certificate III to be eligible. Your responsibilities include managing patient flow efficiently, communicating effectively, and observing patient demeanour.
Duties
Meet and greet clients as the first point of contact.
Handle all phone calls and messages following ATSICHS Triage procedures.
Book appointments using the MMex system.
Maintain specialist calendars.
Ensure all correspondence related to GP referrals is scanned and filed correctly.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Salary of $43,000 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.

Skills and Experiences
Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person per s25 of the Anti-discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
Willingness to undertake at least a Certificate III in Business Administration.
Ability to work independently, with guidance, and within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience working with culturally diverse groups.
Effective and sensitive communication skills with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
Current and valid National Police Check.
