About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced clinical pharmacist with advanced expertise in critical care and a passion for digital health? South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (Grade 3) to join our Digital Health and Critical Care team in a permanent full-time capacity. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a leading tertiary referral hospital, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to critical care areas such as ICU, CCU and ED.

In this role, you will contribute to the ongoing development and integration of digital health solutions, supporting protected and effective medication management and enhancing clinical workflows. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in strategic projects, and help drive innovation in patient care. What You'll be Doing

The Digital Health and Critical Care Team Leader Pharmacist is responsible for developing and managing clinical informatics and digital solutions within the pharmacy. This position also coordinates the Critical Care Pharmacy Service in areas such as the Intensive Care Unit, Cardiology, and Emergency.

Additionally, they work collaboratively with digital health team members to implement and maintain clinical application systems in a manner that promotes medication safety. They utilise their proficiency with clinical application systems and data analysis to drive change and practice improvement for the pharmacy service.

The Digital Health and Critical Care Team Leader Pharmacist provides leadership, guidance, support, and expert advice to staff, ensuring the safe and cost-effective use of medicines within established policies and procedures, ethical and professional practice standards, and legislative requirements.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.

- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia with no conditions or restrictions on practice and no less than 3 years extensive experience in a hospital pharmacy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to develop high quality written guidelines, procedures, educational, research or business materials.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a complex workload, problem solving, development and implementation of initiatives.
- Demonstrated high level skills and experience as a clinical pharmacist in a public hospital setting with a detailed understanding of the requirements of pharmacy services in Critical Care.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of electronic medical record (eMR) systems and digital solutions in pharmacy.
