Account Receivable Specialist
The role of Account Receivable Specialist involves overseeing the entire account receivable process, ensuring timely collections, and optimizing financial performance.
As an Account Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating customer creditworthiness, developing effective credit control policies, managing credit collection processes, maintaining accurate debtor records, and maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring timely collections.
* Maintain and administer the company's Credit Management Policy to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as PPSR and Unfair Contracts Legislation.
* Evaluate new customer applications and follow approval processes to minimize risks.
* Review systems documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Action customer alerts and register new PPSR and ALLPAAP's in a timely manner.
* Prepare and attend monthly Debtors Ledger review meetings to track progress and address any issues.
* Maintain accounts receivable subsidiary ledger, post cash received, and reconcile customer accounts.
* Create manual invoices for miscellaneous debtors and ensure customers pay to terms.
* Liaise with state manager when overdue payments are made, maintain fixed price orders records, and update ERP customer master files.
* Prepare year-end write-off reconciliation to ensure accurate accounting records.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, high accuracy, good time management skills, and ability to work to deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills are also essential for maintaining positive customer relationships.
Requirements:
* Credit management skills and previous experience in credit control and accounts receivable.
* Understanding of PPSR and Unfair Contracts Legislation.
* Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Experience managing staff.
* Experience with Microsoft Business Central or equivalent ERP.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
