Job Description
City of Parramatta has an exciting 2-year term contract position working in the Infrastructure Grants and Projects team as a Project Manager for Strategic Projects.
As the Project Manager, you will predominantly manage a planned $50 million flooding, drainage, and streetscape upgrade of Hill Road Wentworth Point.
About The Role
As the project manager, you will be responsible for the design of complex infrastructure projects. You will coordinate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Council and establish strong, effective internal and external relationships to ensure high levels of engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the delivery of significant infrastructure projects, primarily the Hill Road upgrade, from initiation to operational handover.
* Coordinate diverse project teams to deliver complex and sensitive projects.
* Negotiate, mediate, and resolve project management and contractual issues to achieve positive outcomes.
* Manage key stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
About You
We are seeking someone with:
* Recognised degree qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
* Extensive experience managing a wide range of projects and programs, demonstrating successful delivery.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels.
* Strong knowledge of the NSW Local Government Act and Regulations.
