About the Role
Based in Adelaide, South Australia, reporting to the Senior Systems Engineer, this role involves managing the development, design, and integration of control and monitoring systems on the Hunter Class Frigate. These systems are crucial for efficient ship management and situational awareness. The position offers technical challenges within a large, complex program and embraces flexible work arrangements such as a 9-day fortnight and hybrid work.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform daily engineering activities with minimal supervision; support and guidance may be required for non-routine tasks.
* Learn from experienced team members and support peers.
* Contribute to engineering decision-making processes.
* Work towards attaining Professional Engineering Standard and Chartered Professional status.
* Share good practices and continuously improve personal skills.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in a STEM field is essential.
* Experience in defence or shipbuilding industries is desirable.
* Experience with Windchill PLM software is desirable.
* Proven project experience.
* Defense security clearance or eligibility for NV1 clearance.
* Eligibility for ITAR regulations clearance.
