About the Role
Supports the Home Manager and peers in delivering high‐quality resident care within the home. The Personal Care Worker is part of an integrated team, providing care and attending to the personal needs of residents. The role is instrumental in ensuring high‐quality care at all times.
Your main duties will include:
* Support residents to live the life they choose, exercising choice and independence.
* Contribute to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of residents through assessment and observation.
* Implement clinical and care interventions as delegated by the Registered Nurse, as documented in the resident's plan of care.
* Assist residents with personal care and hygiene needs while encouraging independence.
* Document and report progress, including evaluation of interventions, as part of the role.
* Plan and organise work; tasks delegated by the Home Manager/Registered Nurse and broadly under supervision.
* Follow known resident care plans.
About you
* A Certificate III in Aged Care or a relevant qualification.
* A passion for working in aged care and sound understanding of the sector.
* Previous experience in a similar role in aged care is preferable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
