About This Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior position within our organization.
* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to manage the smooth operation of our commercial kitchen and dining service.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs
* Managing all resources within the kitchen, including equipment and food supplies, within your approved budget
* Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with quality standards
Requirements
* A heart and passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
* Experience leading a team
* Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
* Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
* Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene
* Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety
* An understanding of modified diets
* Ability to work independently and part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
* NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain
