Leadership Role in Social Impact Education
The Centre for Social Impact is a research and education centre that develops people and partnerships to accelerate social innovations. Our research and education embrace a model of engaged scholarship, involving collaborative relationships between academics and partners. We develop social impact leaders across business, government, and non-profit sectors.
The Education Director has a key role in leading the education team, providing leadership of our education programs. This includes postgraduate, undergraduate, and executive education. The Education Director will work closely with UNSW Business School and AGSM, overseeing education strategy and operations. They will collaborate with CSI's Senior Leadership Team, translating research insights into the classroom and across stakeholders.
The responsibilities of this role include:
* Applying a well-defined teaching philosophy and critically reflective teaching practice to enhance student learning and cultivate a positive educational environment.
* Providing high-level academic and professional oversight for the planning, design, and delivery of our undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive programs.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives as a member of the CSI UNSW Senior Leadership Team.
* Leading the continuous improvement of teaching quality across courses and programs, promoting innovation in curriculum design and delivery.
* Providing effective leadership to the Education Team, supporting staff development and building a collaborative and high-performance culture.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a PhD in a field related to Social Impact and relevant to Business. You will also require demonstrated experience as a scholar and educator in a discipline relevant to Social Impact, with a clear understanding of the values and roles of a major research university operating in an international context. A strong scholarly track record, proven experience in designing, managing, and delivering high-quality academic education programs, and a proactive and energetic leadership style are also essential.
