Pure Storage is looking for a Distribution Account Manager (DAM) to develop and manage the relationships with Distribution Partners.
The successful DAM will work in tandem with Partner Technical Manager(s) and Territory Account Executive(s) to successfully deliver business growth through Distribution Partners. The DAM will also collaborate with the Sales, Technical, Channel, Support and Marketing team and perform as Pure Storage's main representative to Distribution Partners to position Pure Storage as the most innovative, trusted business partner to them.
- Develop strategies to foster long-term business growth through Distribution Partners.
- Assess growth opportunities in the market based on partners' strategy, industry/customer trends and Pure's global/regional strategy; build concrete initiatives based on growth strategy; and follow through with tenacity for results to be delivered.
- Gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to accelerate collaboration, and be the main point of contact representing Pure Storage.
- Champion internal/external process details and always look for opportunities to streamline the operational engagement between Distribution Partners and Pure Storage—quoting, logistics, invoicing, demo equipment, etc.
- Develop and drive sales, technical and marketing capability at the Distribution Partners in partnership with respective internal counterparts.
- Develop and drive distributor marketing plan for all distributors in partnership with EMEA channel marketing lead.
- Manage quarterly distribution enablement/management funds through activities and programs.
- Work closely with distributors to focus on key distribution-managed partners to improve incremental sales for Pure.
- Work with local channel leadership and distributors to drive action around capturing and converting new target partners to being active with Pure.
- Leverage distributors to drive incremental pipeline through technology alliance solutions (Nutanix, Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik, RedHat, Microsoft, etc.).
- Discuss and finalize yearly business plans with distributors and conduct quarterly business reviews that include all key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Theater Distribution Lead to understand and align with global priorities, strategy and programs.
What You Bring to the Team
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience and familiarity with the distributor landscape in the country or region.
- Proficiency in English.
- A very strategic mind with ability to represent the company, with a strong desire to realize larger impacts through partnership.
- Demonstrated ability to grow business with distribution partners in related industry, products or services.
- Strong ability to collaborate with many layers of stakeholders, who are not necessarily in direct report-to organizational structure.
