Project Manager Job Description
SLS is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) to join a fast-growing and dynamic Federal Division. The PM will be responsible for managing projects from initial startup to commissioning and warranty work, working with federal clients such as the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC).
The PM will oversee multiple aspects of project execution, including design, engineering, construction management, change management, closeout, and quality control. They will also manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the project's profit & loss to preserve profitability throughout the project's life cycle.
* Maintain a healthy client relationship while protecting company interests.
* Oversee the design program, construction operations, safety program, quality program, and project schedule.
* Negotiate and execute contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Chair weekly and/or monthly project meetings with all interested stakeholders.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
* 10+ years of experience as a PM for heavy civil infrastructure projects valued at $25M+.
* Advanced Degree (MBA, MS) or Professional Registration (PMP, PE) preferred.
* Experience working on federal projects with DOD/USACE/NAVFAC strongly desired.
* Ability to speak, read and write fluent English.
