The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our Contact Centre team for the Post Census Review (PCR). This national program plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of Australia's Census data.

* Engagement Period: From Early September 2026 until end of November 2026
* Hours of Work:
o Shifts available Monday to Sunday, between 7:00am and 11:00pm
o Shift lengths range from 3 to 8 hours
o Overtime rates apply for work after 7:00pm and on weekends
* Availability: A minimum of three shifts per week is preferred
* Eligibility: Australian citizenship is required
Role Overview
Survey Officers will provide high-quality support to households participating in the Post Census Review. Responsibilities include:
* Responding to inbound telephone enquiries regarding the PCR
* Providing clear and accurate information to assist respondents
* Collecting survey responses over the phone in a professional and impartial manner
* Recording interactions and data accurately using ABS systems
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
