Logistics Manager Role
This position is responsible for assisting with warehouse and related duties, including inbound, outbound, inventory management, warehouse management, projects and continuous improvement. The Logistics Manager will work closely with the Senior Logistics Manager to ensure seamless operations.
1. Inbound Responsibilities:
* Monitor open order and projected shipments from Paris and communicate forecast vs actual variations to 3PL.
* Liaise with vendors (Bollore, Geodis, CEVA) to receive accurate and timely information on shipments and receiving.
* Create inbound priority list for 3PL based on out-of-stock analysis and product launches.
* Train and support 3PL team to receive by BP number as well as VAS for damaged packaging.
* Monitor delivery litigation from Paris and stores that also includes custom compliance requirements.
* Monitor batch information for dept V during receiving.
* Monitor progress of the receiving on a regular basis.
* Work with stores on delivery and carton optimization.
* Manage consolidation of return deliveries and cartons with stores to minimize delivery cost.
* Resolve DTR system integration errors with IT and 3PL.
* Monitor national furniture returns, including empty crates.
* Communicate inbound stock receiving information to key business stakeholders.
2. Outbound Responsibilities:
* Monitor DTR integration between Cegid and WMS.
* Manage urgent DTR requests from Merch and store teams.
* Communicate priorities to 3PL in case of DTR quantities are larger than forecast.
* Collaborate with 3PL, stores, and Merch teams to standardize box delivery numbers.
* Monitor DTRs placed without stock and take necessary steps to reduce them.
* Resolve short shipped DTR discrepancies with agreed KPI.
* Monitor DTR pick packing progress regularly.
* Monitor progress of DTRs between warehouse stockrooms, including HCOM.
* Resolve system integration errors with IT and 3PL.
* Monitor DC export process, including SAV according to SOP.
* Oversee white gloves furniture delivery process to clients and stores.
3. Inventory Management:
* Monitor DC cycle count schedule with 3PL.
* Regularly monitor high value products and plan storage according to group guidelines.
* Publish monthly expiry/shelf-life report to business stakeholders.
* Manage inventory movement communication, expired batches with Merch teams.
* Publish monthly inter-warehouse template to move expired stock.
* Match batches with physical inventory to check DC accuracy.
* Validate first expiry first out for department V.
* Monitor furniture empty crate inventory holding and assortment.
* Prepare for annual stock take with inventory team and 3PL.
* Monitor and action requested variance issues from discrepancy reports.
* Analyze current stock holding by department and address significant overstock situations.
4. Warehouse Management:
* Maintain a clean, safe, and good working environment at the DC.
* Alert 3PL to handle stock and items with care.
* Collaborate with 3PL to physically segregate stock by location.
* Keep a housekeeping log of discussions with 3PL.
* Keep a log of store feedback as a repository.
* Audit safety and security measures of 3PL and transport.
* Validate and approve KPI results published by 3PL.
* Optimize warehouse capacity with 3PL.
5. Projects, Process Improvement, and Change Management:
* Take ownership of the 3PL issue log and follow up on outstanding issues and improvements.
* Create and document 3PL VAS strategy and processes.
* Create and document 3PL QC process according to group guidelines.
6. General:
* Assist Senior Logistics Manager to validate/approve 3PL and freight invoices.
* Serve as central point of contact for logistics/3PL issues to provide solutions to business teams.
* Manage weekly team meetings in absence of Senior Logistics Manager.
7. Strategic Support:
* Review contracts of all logistics vendors.
* Negotiate with service providers for cost monitoring.
* Monitor 3PL budget based on RFP forecast and actual.
* Implement CSR initiative with logistics transport companies.
* Monitor and validate 3PL CSR initiatives according to contract.
* Align 3PL SOP with group guidelines for return to CDC.
* Align 3PL safety training with group guidelines.
* Ensure clear communication and awareness among employees regarding CSR policy deployment.
* Maintain DC compliances according to group guidelines.
