About the Role
We're looking for a Systems Accountant to join our finance team and help shape how finance, data, and technology work together. This is not a traditional accounting role. It's a hands-on, future-focused position for someone who enjoys working across management accounting, data platforms, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to drive better insights and more efficient finance processes. Collaboration is key as you'll work closely with Finance, IT, and the wider business to manage our data, improve data quality, reduce manual effort through automation, and support our Group Financial Controller with month end reporting.
What You'll Be Doing
* Own and enhance finance-related systems, data models, and reporting platforms
* Design and maintain finance data models
* Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for management and executive reporting
* Monthly management accounting requirements in conjunction with our Finance team and Group Financial Controller
* Support budgeting, forecasting and finance processes, leveraging automations where possible
* Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, documentation, and strong internal controls
* Leveraging systems such as Microsoft Copilot, AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code and Python and the Microsoft suite including Fabric and Power BI
What We\'re Looking For
Essential:
* 4+ years\' experience in systems accounting, management accounting, finance systems, or finance analytics
* Strong management accounting fundamentals
* Experience working with data warehouses and structured financial data
* Experience with, or strong interest in developing skills in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
* Working knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation, and AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Claude Code
* Problem solving abilities to work through the new enhancements / changes in technology as they happen
* Strong communication skills and confidence working across all stakeholders
Nice to have (but not essential):
* CA or CPA (or working towards)
* SQL for data validation and analysis
* Power Automate or workflow automation experience
* Azure or cloud data platform exposure
* Multi-entity or group reporting experience
