Head of Finance Operations
We have an opportunity available for a Head of Finance Operations to join our support office team in St. Leonards, Sydney. This role is to provide high quality, compliant and efficient finance operations to OAC. This position is responsible for the management of key transactional processes, including billings and collections, payroll, accounts payable and expenses. This role will partner with key support teams, including Family Support and People & Culture, to ensure that the end‐to‐end processes are efficient and supported by robust systems and master data management. Reporting through to this role is the accounts payable & receivable manager and payroll manager, therefore this role is accountable for mentoring and the professional growth of these functions. The position is a full‐time permanent position, with opportunities to extend your career with Only About Children.
What You'll Do Accounts Receivable / Credit Control
Lead and support the Accounts Receivable team by overseeing billing and collections, mentoring staff, resolving escalations, improving customer processes, monitoring aged debt and disputes, and ensuring compliance with Child Care Subsidy legislation.
Payroll
Lead and support the Payroll Manager by overseeing payroll operations, authorising fortnightly payroll, ensuring compliance with payroll obligations and remittances, monitoring workers' compensation and payroll tax requirements, reviewing annual reconciliations, and partnering with P&C to maintain efficient and well‐controlled payroll processes.
Accounts Payable
Manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate system maintenance, effective corporate credit card processes, and efficient end‐to‐end processes with appropriate controls and master data management.
Team Management
Manage the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll Managers and their teams, ensuring departmental objectives are achieved while providing coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, training, job description maintenance, and annual performance reviews.
Process Improvement
Lead process improvements through redesign, digitalisation, and automation by analysing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing scalable solutions to improve efficiency, data quality, and stakeholder experience.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of five years' experience and skilled in most aspects of financial operations.
* Experience in a commercial environment.
* Experience in delivering process improvement initiatives to enhance the operational efficiency of the organisation.
* Experience in implementing appropriate processes and controls to manage customer, supplier and employee master data.
* Experience in working with transactional finance systems and ERP systems.
* Experience in all payroll requirements.
* Experience in delivering impeccable customer/stakeholder service.
