The Role
We are seeking a motivated Law Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our senior conveyancer and property lawyer, assisting in property law and conveyancing matters. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as contracts, transfers, and settlements.
* Conducting title searches, liaising with clients, and supporting transaction processes.
* Assisting in client interviews, file management, and general legal research under supervision.
* Handling front desk reception duties, including greeting clients, managing phone inquiries, and scheduling appointments.
* Performing administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, mail handling, and maintaining office records.
This position offers hands-on experience in a supportive environment, with opportunities to develop skills in property law.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications or enrollment in a law-related course (e.g., legal studies, paralegal certificate, or law degree) is preferred.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic legal software (LEAP training will be provided).
* Previous experience in a law firm or administrative role is advantageous.
* Exposure to conveyancing or property law is a bonus but not essential—we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn as training will be provided.
