About the One Solution Centre
The One Solution Centre (OSC) is Schneider Electric's premier engineering hub for bespoke power infrastructure in the Pacific. We design and deliver integrated LV/MV systems, including switchgear, switchboards, prefabricated switchrooms, busway systems, kiosks, transformers, and modular substations. By blending global innovation with disciplined local execution, we strengthen grid resilience and help our customers achieve their sustainability goals.
About the Role
As a Project Engineer and Impact Maker, you will lead the technical lifecycle from sales support to site commissioning. You will deliver high‐performance solutions—including MV busways, substations, and switchgear—ensuring they exceed standards for reliability and efficiency. This is your opportunity to drive Australia's energy transition by turning decarbonisation ambitions into build‐ready engineering outcomes.
What you'll do
* Own the entire project lifecycle. Lead engineering from concept and detailed design through to FAT, SAT, and commissioning, ensuring full compliance with contractual and risk standards.
* Translate standards into action. Interpret customer specs and AS/IEC standards to develop precise technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation that meet safety benchmarks.
* Master the technical details. Perform detailed electrical calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop, derating) and design compliant control circuits for LV and MV switchgear.
* Ensure seamless execution. Manage comprehensive documentation for manufacturing and installation, proactively resolving technical issues for stakeholders and customers.
* Drive collaboration. Partner with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to manage project interfaces, mitigate risks, and achieve critical milestones.
What we're looking for
* Engineering Experience: An Electrical Engineering degree and 5+ years of experience delivering LV/MV projects, with specific expertise in MV switchboards and complex switchgear systems.
* The Technical Edge: Subject‐matter expertise in AS2067, AS3000, and AS62271, using these standards to build robust, build‐ready designs.
* The Commercial Mindset: Ability to navigate complex technical specifications and commercial conditions to find the optimal project path.
* The Collaborative Lead: A customer‐centric approach that prioritises rigorous documentation, organisational excellence, and team‐based delivery.
All applicants must have working rights in Australia at the time of application and will be required to provide documented evidence if selected for interview.
