We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable leader to manage the Accounts Payable function of the business, ensuring invoices are processed and approved on time in order to ensure vendors are paid in accordance with approved payment terms.
Reporting to the CFO and working in a tight nit collaborative Finance team, the role will drive strategic initiatives towards Accounts, championing change management with a view to deliver enhanced efficiencies in the Procure to Pay process and systems.
About The Role
1. Full management of all areas of the Accounts payable process
2. Manage and mentor AP Officer in the team
3. Audit and assess corporate procedures with respect to the Accounts Payable Procedures with the intent to improve efficiencies
4. Lead the Accounts Payable division towards strategic initiatives developed by the CFO within Accounts Payable
5. Primary responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to optimize process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to streamline operations and reporting of the payables cycle
6. Ensure all reporting is conducted in a timely, accurate and reliable manner
7. Resolve issues arising from accounts payable and responding to and resolving enquiries in a timely and effective manner
8. Liaise with site on invoices and authorization
9. Provide advice and recommendations to the CFO (as well as other members of the Company's senior management team) to ensure best practice in the accounts payable and procurement life cycles
About You
To Be Successful, You Will Have the Following
10. At least 5 years+ experience in a Senior or Lead Accounts Payable role
11. Experience working with ERP systems
12. Civil / Construction / Resources experience - An advantage
13. Demonstrated experience in process improvement, process mapping and change management within a payables function
14. Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in team leadership and performance development
