Job Summary:
A talented electrical engineer is needed to work on complex substation design projects, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with a team of engineers to complete intricate electrical utility substation design tasks.
* Develop detailed P&C designs for medium to extra high voltage utility substations, including one-line diagrams, equipment selection, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations, and engineering documentation.
* Collaborate with CAD designers/drafters to develop drawing packages and coordinate designs with other disciplines such as Substation Physical, Structural, and Civil.
* Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs, contribute to engineering proposal development, and project scheduling and budget management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited university with a power option.
* Understanding of substation equipment and its function.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
* Strong command of the English language with excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
