We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join our team in Melbourne. This role offers exposure to complex real estate debt structures, institutional mandates and private investment vehicles within a growth environment.
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Fund Accounting, you will oversee the integrity and delivery of fund accounting across a complex investment platform, working closely with Investment, Operations, Capital, Client Services and external providers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing investor drawdowns, cash movements and custodian reconciliations
* Coordinating loan transactions, drawdowns, repayments and interest collections
* Reviewing NAV calculations, unit pricing and capital transactions
* Monitoring liquidity and overseeing portfolio reconciliations
* Preparing monthly client reporting and financial statements
* Managing BAS, tax accruals, distributions and year-end compliance (incl. GS007)
* Liaising with auditors, custodians and tax advisers
* Supporting new product implementation and driving automation/process improvements
* Providing technical accounting support on complex transactions
About You:
* CA / CPA qualified with 7+ investment accounting experience
* Exposure to Private Credit, Private Equity or Direct Investments (essential)
* Strong expertise in reconciliations, distributions and financial reporting
* Advanced Excel skills (Python/SQL/VBA/Power BI advantageous)
* Detail-oriented, commercially minded and confident managing multiple stakeholders
