A multidisciplinary specialist spine practice located in Perth and Murdoch is seeking two Medical Receptionist / Admin Assistants to support senior medical secretaries during busy periods.
These newly created roles are ideal for candidates seeking an entry point into specialist medical administration. The positions are all-rounder roles involving front-of-house reception duties and administrative support in a fast-paced specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Answering and triaging incoming phone calls
* Managing the shared email inbox
* Greeting patients in a friendly and professional manner (in person and via phone)
* Scheduling and managing patient appointments
* Triaging incoming patient referrals
* Handling patient enquiries and providing basic information regarding services and appointments
* Processing patient check-ins and check-outs, including billing and payments where applicable
* Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
* Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and mail
* Supporting senior medical secretaries during peak periods
* Assisting with general administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and office organisation
* Maintaining strict patient confidentiality at all times
About You
This is an entry-level role; however prior medical administration experience is highly desirable. Basic computer skills are required. Familiarity with medical software systems is advantageous (particularly Genie software).

About the Practice
Our client is a multidisciplinary specialist practice offering diagnosis and treatment across a full range of spine and brain conditions. Surgeons are supported by a team of medical specialists, allied health professionals and experienced administrative staff.
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience in a General Practice, dental or allied health environment
* Knowledge of Medicare billing
* Diploma or certification in Medical Reception or Business
