We're growing, and we're looking for a creative and detail-driven Interior Designer – based in Newcastle West to join our team. This role will play an integral part in shaping purposeful, functional, and inspiring spaces across a wide range of projects.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will work as part of our integrated design team to develop interiors that strike a balance between creativity, functionality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. You should be confident in communicating regularly with clients to understand their objectives and provide tailored solutions, adjusting your approach based on feedback. Maintaining a strong awareness of the design landscape and emerging trends will be key to providing clients with fresh, innovative ideas.
Responsibilities
* Create attractive, functional designs and layouts for various projects.
* Meet with clients to understand their objectives, needs, and aspirations.
* Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to address project requirements.
* Prepare presentations, including 2D/3D drawings, mock-ups, and renderings.
* Develop detailed interior documentation, schedules, and specifications.
* Source finishes, fittings, furniture, and prepare quotes in line with project budgets.
* Conduct site visits to review progress and ensure design intent is achieved.
* Stay across industry knowledge, materials, and design trends to deliver the best outcomes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
* 2–5 years of experience in an interior design role, ideally within the commercial, education, aged care, or hospitality sectors.
* Proficiency in ArchiCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
* Strong creative, conceptual, and communication skills.
* Ability to confidently present to and liaise with clients.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and workflows.
