About the Role: VU TAFE is seeking sessional TAFE teachers within the Community Services Department. Candidates must demonstrate current industry experience as: Mental health practitioner, or Youth Worker, or Community Services support worker, or AOD support worker An example of duties you may perform will include: Cert 4 Mental Health/ Youth Work/ AOD /Diploma of Community Services teaching: Preparing class content materials including case studies, problem-based learning scenarios, and delivering classes online and on campus at various locations Competency-based assessment and student evaluation including industry placement support Salary and Conditions of Employment For the sessional teaching roles, the hourly teaching rate payable is $95.01 per hour inclusive of 25% sessional loading plus superannuation. Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2025 About the Person: Our teaching team is looking for someone: Who possesses a TAE40110, TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can provide proof of enrolment in TAE40122 With a qualification within the relevant sector you are applying for With current Employee Working with Children Check or be able to obtain With a minimum of 5 years industry experience to be able to bring your knowledge and experience to the classroom With excellent communication skills and “can do” attitude With relevant skills in Microsoft office, databases and record keeping Current police check valid within 6 months or willingness to obtain one Available a minimum of 2 days per week (and evenings for online classes if possible) How to Apply: To submit your application, please visit our Careers Website.
