Communication Officer (AO3)

Hudson is proud to partner with a leading government organisation delivering vital transport and infrastructure outcomes across Queensland. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Communication Officer (AO3) to join the Northern District team in Townsville.
This role plays a key part in supporting communications and stakeholder engagement activities across planning, pre-construction and construction phases of major QTRIP initiatives. You'll join a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your work helps ensure strong community engagement and smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and preparing written communication materials such as correspondence, flyers, social media content and webpage updates
Providing stakeholder engagement support for low-risk QTRIP projects
Developing and updating project webpages, including analytics and reporting
Supporting the development of content for The Hive platform
Preparing and distributing project flyers and updates
Responding to low-level stakeholder enquiries and **** phone line calls
Managing the correspondence tracker and maintaining accurate records
Sourcing stakeholder contact details, lot information and updating spreadsheets and Consultation Manager
Assisting or attending stakeholder meetings with Program Engagement Officers
About You
Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging and accurate content
A proactive and detail-oriented approach
Confidence engaging with stakeholders on low-risk matters
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience in government, communications or stakeholder engagement is highly regarded

Casual Loading
