Grade 1 Physiotherapist - Rotating position - Fixed term until May 2027
Knox Private Hospital is offering a Grade 1 Physiotherapist role on a fixed‐term basis until May 2027. The role involves four monthly rotations across acute orthopaedics, general medical, cardiac, oncology, general surgical, and rehabilitation settings.
The successful candidate will receive ongoing professional development, senior mentoring, and support within a dynamic interdisciplinary Allied Health department that delivers high quality, evidence‐based, consumer‐centred care.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to acute inpatients, including orthopaedics, general medical, cardiorespiratory, and palliative care/oncology.
* Deliver excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning, and evidence-based practice.
* Participate in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department.
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people.
* Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services.
* Supervise physiotherapy and allied health assistant students.
* Demonstrate ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
* May be required to work across sites, including Knox Private Hospital and Ringwood Private Hospital.
Selection Criteria
* Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
* Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment and intervention.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organisation and time‐management skills.
* Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork.
* Weekday availability required, with potential for weekends.
