About the role
Reporting to the General Manager – Human Resources, this role offers hybrid work options based in Toowoomba, Brisbane Ports, or Hamilton (QLD). Key responsibilities include:
* Designing and delivering a strategic people plan
* Coaching leaders in modern, values-led leadership
* Supporting negotiations and industrial relations activities
* Embedding company values in decision-making
* Driving talent activation and learning initiatives
* Supporting performance reviews, employee surveys, and talent reviews
* Managing employee relations with confidence and care
* Ensuring compliance with employment laws and awards
* Collaborating with HR specialists to solve problems and implement solutions
About you
You are a pragmatic, people-first HR Business Partner driven by impact, capable of balancing strategic and hands-on work, and genuinely caring about people’s work experiences. You should have:
* Proven experience in HR Business Partnering
* Autonomous decision-making skills
* A strong commercial mindset
* Experience leading HR strategies and projects
* Comfort with ambiguity and proactive change management
* Excellent communication and relationship skills at all levels
