Role Description

We are seeking a commercially driven and adaptable Key Account Manager to support the continued global growth of our automotive clutch business. This role is focused on developing new markets—primarily in the United States and other international regions—while also maximising performance across existing customer accounts.

You will play a critical role in expanding our global footprint, identifying new business opportunities, and building long‐term partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, and key industry stakeholders.

This is a high‐impact role suited to someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable operating across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

* Business Development & Market ExpansionIdentify, target, and onboard new customers across the US and international markets, with a strong focus on driving revenue growth and brand presence.Manage and grow existing customer relationships by identifying opportunities to increase sales and enhance overall account performance.Operate across multiple time zones, maintaining responsive and proactive communication with international customers, including early morning or evening engagement where required.
* Sales Strategy ExecutionExecute strategic plans for key accounts and target markets, aligned with broader company objectives.
* Internal & External CollaborationWork closely with internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, operations, engineering) and external partners to deliver outcomes that meet both customer expectations and business objectives.Utilise Excel and Microsoft tools to analyse sales data, track opportunities, manage pricing structures, and support commercial decision‐making.
* Travel & Industry EngagementAttend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as required, including international travel and occasional weekend commitments.

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in key account management or business development, ideally within the automotive aftermarket or related industry
* Demonstrated success in growing sales, securing new business, and managing distributor networks
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pricing models, data analysis, reporting) and solid capability across the Microsoft Office suite
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate both strategically and hands‐on

Working Arrangements

This role is initially office‐based to support onboarding, collaboration, and integration with internal teams. Our head office and technical centre are located in Coburg North.

Following this initial period, the role may transition to a hybrid working arrangement, aligned with performance, business requirements, and customer engagement needs.

Given the global nature of the position, a high degree of flexibility is essential, including availability for meetings outside standard business hours to effectively support international customers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of commercial drive, technical mechanical curiosity, and global mindset. They are likely to have experience in the automotive aftermarket, performance parts, or a related industrial sector, and understand how distributor networks operate across different regions.

They are comfortable building a market from the ground up—prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing—while also maintaining and growing existing relationships. They are equally capable working independently and engaging cross‐functionally to solve problems and deliver outcomes.

This person is highly organised, data‐driven, and confident using Excel to support pricing, forecasting, and performance analysis. They are resilient, self‐motivated, and motivated by achieving tangible commercial results.
