Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital located on the Southern Gold Coast, delivering high quality care and positive patient outcomes.
We have a team of dedicated Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing, Allied and Administrative staff who provide expert care in the management and treatment of all acute mental health disorders.
About the Role
The role of After-Hours Manager is on a rotating roster.
This role is responsible for the management of the facility after hours including clinical, administrative, and other support services.
The After-Hours Manager ensures that quality patient care is provided while maintaining cost efficiencies.
As the After-Hours Manager of the hospital there are multiple roles and skills that will be performed from time to time involving clinical and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse, minimum 5 years Mental Health Inpatient Hospital experience.
Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency Registration (Mandatory).
An ability to work flexibly and manage situations efficiently and effectively in line with the Hospital's vision.
An ability to role model high standards of clinical skills, problem solving techniques and customer and patient interaction.
Enthusiasm towards the promotion and support of Currumbin's commitment to quality.
An ability to promote a supportive environment that facilitates professional development and job satisfaction amongst hospital staff.
An ability to actively contribute to and promote a culture of "teamwork" within the hospital.
An ability to anticipate and proactively address customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Practises in accordance with legislation affecting nursing practice and healthcare.
Practises within a professional and ethical nursing framework.
Practises within an evidence-based framework.
Participates in ongoing professional development of staff and others.
Conducts a comprehensive and systematic nursing assessment.
Plans nursing care in consultation with individuals / groups, significant others and the multidisciplinary health care team.
Provides comprehensive, safe and effective evidence-based nursing care to achieve identified individual / group health outcomes.
Vaccination Preventable Disease
It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment :
Pertussis (whooping cough), Diphtheria and Tetanus
Hepatitis B (confirmation of immunity also required)
You must be able to provide serology evidence and a VPD form for the above-mentioned vaccinations and will be asked by the recruiting manager to supply this evidence if you are the preferred candidate for the role.
Please note you are not susceptible to the VPD's listed in the role description.
