The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Architect / Project Lead with strong hands‐on experience in residential and multi‐residential architecture to join our growing Sydney studio.
This role is suited to an architect who enjoys genuine project ownership — from strategic planning and design coordination through to documentation, consultant management and delivery.
You will work across a diverse range of residential, mixed‐use and strategic planning projects, including DA, CDC, Housing SEPP and state significant pathways.
We are looking for someone who is:
* highly organised,
* technically capable,
* confident coordinating consultants,
* and able to independently lead projects with minimal supervision.
What You Will Be Doing
* Manage residential and multi‐residential projects across design, DA, documentation, coordination, and delivery stages.
* Lead and coordinate internal project teams, including reviewing work and guiding junior staff.
* Liaise directly with clients, consultants, planners, councils, certifiers, and other stakeholders.
* Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural drawings, DA packages, consultant information, and project deliverables.
* Resolve design, planning, documentation, and coordination issues proactively.
* Ensure project work aligns with relevant planning controls, including ADG, SEPP, LEP, DCP, NCC/BCA, and Australian Standards.
* Keep directors informed on key project risks, decisions, deadlines, and required actions, without needing constant direction.
* Contribute to improving documentation standards, workflows, and project delivery systems.
What We Are Looking For – Key Requirements:
* Registered Architect (NSW preferred)
* DBP registration highly regarded
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to independently manage programmes and project workflow
* Experience coordinating consultant teams
* Experience managing junior staff or global teams
* Construction and delivery experience
* Strong communication and client management skills
