Mount Owen Glendell Operations (MGO) Mine located in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales, 20 kilometres North of Singleton, contains the Mt Owen, Ravensworth East and Glendell open cut mines. The integration of these operations enables all sites to use a single coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) and infrastructure at Mt Owen Mine. MGO has an exciting opportunity for a Process and Logistics Engineer ready to take their next career step. Reporting to the CHPP Production Superintendent, you will be well supported showcase your process engineering expertise and to help maximise CHPP performance at MGO. Your ability to drive for results, effectively communicate and manage a team is core to the role. This position requires multitasking and the following of all policies and procedures implemented and maintained in accordance with the Glencore Management Framework. About the role This position plays an important role in: Acting a direct link between various stakeholders, including CHPP operations, production, quality control, and group logistics. Coordinating coal beneficiation operations to optimise product yield, quality and maximise productivity to the appropriate site targets. Providing technical support to the CHPP production and maintenance teams. About You The right person for this position will be proactive and seek to gain a practical knowledge of the work environment to which engineering support is provided. The required skills and experience for this position include: A Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical/Metallurgical/Minerals Processing/Process) or similar. Experience in coal quality control and exposure to process scheduling will be advantageous. Highly developed computer skills. Strong attention to detail and highly organised. A drive to achieve and have proven planning and organising capacity. The ability to work independently in a high pressure and competing priority environment. Strong communications skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Solutions focused, with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and plan ahead. You will have a high regard for the value of teamwork and the provision of visible leadership.
