About the role

The Bereavement Care Liaison Clinical Midwife will develop and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with community based and hospital clinicians and health services to enhance support for women and their families experiencing grief and loss. This is achieved through high level expertise and skill in the support and provision of midwifery care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation and relevant legislation.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Demonstrated advanced clinical experience, contemporary knowledge and respect for the unique needs of women, families and people delivering patient centred bereavement care.

Demonstrated ability to role model excellent standards of comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care and documentation to facilitate quality women centred outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive workplace culture through role-modelling well developed consultation, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, engaging professionally with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives and visitors.

Demonstrated ability to build strong multidisciplinary relationships and support others learning in a positive team environment.

Mandatory Requirements:

Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
