About the Role
This is a term-time post.
You will maintain the school premises to a high standard of cleanliness and participate in the annual deep clean of the school for 2 weeks during the summer holidays.
Working Days:Monday to Friday 15:*******:00 each day
Key Responsibilities
Clean all rooms, including classrooms, offices, toilets, cloakrooms, staircases and all other areas in use.
Use cleaning materials as instructed by the cleaning supervisor.
Operate cleaning machinery on soft and hard surfaces, e.g., vacuum cleaners and polishers.
Maintain confidentiality regarding school-related matters and prevent disclosure of sensitive information.
Vacuum hard and soft floors; spot clean spillages; wipe furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors, glass and windows; empty waste and recycling bins.
Clean toilets, including sanitary fittings and surrounds; mop and spray cleaning of hard floor surfaces.
Polish and straighten furniture; replenish supplies in toilets and classrooms.
Check and close windows, switch off lights, lock doors when rooms are completed.
Report any misuse or vandalism.
During holiday periods, conduct deep cleans (e.g., removing chewing gum, high-level dusting, wall washing, moving furniture).
Undertake any additional cleaning duties as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor or Soft Services Manager.
Immediately report all health & safety hazards to the Cleaning Supervisor.
Skills & Knowledge
BICSc certification or equivalent, or willingness to obtain after training.
Track record of delivering a similar cleaning role.
Experience in a cleaning environment, preferably multi-site.
