The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Fuel Tanker Driver to join our specialised Bulk Petroleum team. This is a critical frontline role responsible for the safe transport and delivery of dangerous goods across commercial and mine sites.
This opportunity suits a professional driver who understands the responsibility that comes with transporting flammable liquids and takes pride in precision, compliance and operational excellence.
Operating on a 12-hour rotating day/night roster, you will play an essential role in supporting fuel supply continuity for key industries.
Key Responsibilities
Safely load, transport and discharge bulk petroleum products in strict accordance with Dangerous Goods legislation and company procedures
Conduct multi-compartment tanker operations, ensuring correct product segregation and delivery accuracy
Operate single and B-double fuel tanker combinations across metro and regional routes
Complete pre-starts, site inductions and risk assessments with a strong focus on hazard identification
Maintain full compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and site-specific safety protocols
Ensure tanker and fleet presentation reflects the high standards required in dangerous goods transport
Accurately complete delivery documentation and electronic reporting systems
This role requires occasional after-hours support and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For

You will have:
Current HC or MC Licence with proven heavy vehicle experience
Demonstrated experience in bulk liquid tanker operations (petroleum highly regarded)
Current Dangerous Goods Licence (essential)
Safe Loading Pass (SLP)
Strong understanding of metro and regional road networks
High attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
Professional communication skills and ability to liaise with site personnel
A disciplined, methodical approach to fatigue management and operational procedures
