Overview
St Vincent’s Health Australia is a leader in Australia’s health and aged care landscape with over 165 years of history. The Accounts Receivable Officer reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager and will provide national oversight of Accounts Receivable activity within the Shared Service function, championing continuous process optimisation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end‑to‑end accounts receivable processing support for the Shared Services Team and all group entities, including invoicing, payments receipting, customer master data maintenance, and collections.
- Complete reporting activities relating to Accounts Receivable activity and establish effective reporting on end‑of‑month (EOM), periodic billings, and other ad‑hoc reporting.
- Proactively follow the Collections policy to recover outstanding monies, including reporting on status.
- Attend to queries from internal & external customers, maintaining the shared inbox, with all emails responded to in a timely manner.
- Occasional administrative duties at the Brisbane Group Office.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a billing and collections role or similar, ideally for a large and complex organisation dealing with multiple entities.
- Proven ability to enhance financial processes on a continuing basis.
- Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to analyse data and generate reports for management.
- Great problem‑solving skills to tackle challenges and draw logical conclusions from data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative, while performing well as part of a team.
- Confidentiality demonstrated at all times.
- High level attention to detail for accuracy in processing.

- Ability to learn new concepts and rapidly changing business requirements quickly, applying learning into practice.
