About the role
We are seeking a Disability Support Worker in our supported independent living arrangements across North Brisbane and Lutwyche area to provide 24/7 support in the home and out in the community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Supporting individuals with personal care and day-to-day activities in the home and out in the community
* Providing positive behavior support to our clients
* Completing necessary documentation through shift notes, incident reporting, and data collection
* Contribute to the team's overall objective of providing the best outcomes for our clients
* Work collaboratively with team leaders to implement and review plans around daily service provision
* Maintain professional relationships with clients and adhere to the NDIS and company code of conduct
* Above all, demonstrate responsiveness, reliability, and accountability to our clients and team members

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or Higher (or the ability to acquire an appropriate qualification)
* Mental Health Experience
* Challenging Behavior Experience
* Experience working with individuals with Dementia
* Strong conflict resolution skills
* Excellent communication and de-escalation techniques
* MayboTraining (highly desirable)
* Problem-Solving Skills
