Our client is a market leading healthcare provider with operations nationally. In a vitally important leadership role, our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee their large payroll function. **Job Duties**
Reporting into the Head of Shared Services and Operations, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a large payroll team across Australia (over 35 employees)
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing and providing hands on support when required (fortnightly pay run)
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiency
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant awards and legislation are interpreted
- Potentially assist with the development and implementation of a new payroll software package
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar sized Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience leading and managing large teams
- Ideally have utilised either Chris 21 or led a payroll function within the healthcare industry
- Established experience working within a medium / large sized organisation
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Proven process improvement initiatives
