We are looking for a Gardener to join our team, on a Permanent Full-Time basis looking after our Retirement Living Village in Tea Gardens. You will look after day-to-day lawn mowing, gardening and grounds maintenance activities across our Retirement Village to ensure the building and grounds are always looking and operating at their absolute best.
A bit about your new role:
* General gardening/grounds maintenance knowledge to include mowing, hedging, trimming, irrigation and bin maintenance
* Setting up and taking down for special functions - such as a Village BBQ or morning teas
* Other duties as directed by the Leader
A bit about you:
* Demonstrated experience in a gardening role in aged care/retirement living or similar setting would be desirable but not essential
* Willing to learn about aged care and the principles guiding this sector
* Ability to interact with the residents on a day-to-day basis and have a genuine interest in their wellbeing
* Current Manual Driver's License
* Ability to work within a small team or autonomously
* Empathy with seniors and excellent communication skills
* Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
* Demonstrated knowledge of WHS practices
* General Computer skills
