The main function of the position is to to inspect all received shipping containers and quote damage as per clients repair criteria.
Accountabilities:
- Ensuring all containers that enter the depot are inspected accurately to clients repair criteria
- Ensuring major damage or third party damage containers are reported to Container Control or Operations Manager immediately upon arrival
- Responsible for ensuring implementation of, and compliance with, all relevant depot policies and procedures, in particular those relating to OH&S
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in Container Park surveying operations and/or container repairs will be highly regarded
- Experience in forklift operation is also beneficial Current LF forklift license highly beneficial
- Experience in container park operations would be beneficial
- A forklift operators' certificate LF High Risk license
- IICL Container inspector Certificate (preferable)
- AQIS Class 2.6 Inspectors Accreditation (preferable)
- Authorized Officer (AO) from DAFF highly regarded
**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
