Land Management Role
This position is an opportunity to shape the future of a regional council by leading property negotiations, managing Crown Land, and steering the council's land legacy.
The role involves:
* Preparing and maintaining management plans for council-owned lands
* Coordinating leases, licences, permits, and agreements across council properties
* Leading acquisitions and disposals to support capital and operational needs
* Providing internal advisory services on land use, conveyancing, and property law
* Liaising with external authorities, agents, surveyors, and legal representatives
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Tertiary qualifications in Land Economics, Property, Town Planning, Business, or related field
* Demonstrated experience with Crown Land, Native Title, and complex property dealings
* Strong understanding of land reclassification, leasing, and conveyancing practices
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
