We are working with a large, complex Australian organisation seeking an experienced Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Engineer to support their enterprise data platform.
This role is suited to someone with a strong grounding in Kimball-style dimensional data modelling and hands-on experience designing and supporting data warehouses aligned to business needs.
Key responsibilities:
* Design and support dimensional data warehouses (facts, dimensions, SCDs, conformed dimensions)
* Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines aligned to target models
* Enhance existing dimensional models and design new models as requirements evolve
* Develop Source-to-Target (STT) mapping documentation
* Perform SQL-based transformations, performance tuning and data validation
* Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations
Key skills and experience:
* Strong experience in Kimball dimensional modelling
* Enterprise ETL tooling experience (Matillion, Oracle ODI/OWB, Informatica, IBM DataStage or similar)
* Strong SQL capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Location: Eastern Suburbs
6-month contract
Interviews: Monday 22nd December, Tuesday 23rd December
Preferred start: early January
