About the Opportunity
Liverpool Hospital is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Midwives to join our Antenatal ward, where we specialise in providing exceptional care to the most vulnerable and high-risk women in the South Western Sydney Local Health District.
Our Antenatal ward focuses on supporting women throughout pregnancy, managing complex and high-risk conditions, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for both mothers and babies. From routine monitoring to specialised care for conditions such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and multiple pregnancies, our team plays a crucial role in guiding women through their antenatal journey.
You'll be part of a supportive and collaborative environment where continuous learning and upskilling are encouraged. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team—including CME, MUM, midwives, and nurses—you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills while making a meaningful impact on the lives of women and their families.

What You'll be Doing
The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to give the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.
