About the Role

Our Maternity Unit Secretaries are the central point of coordination for the ward, providing a warm, professional first point of contact for expectant parents, families, and visitors. In this fast-paced and rewarding environment, you will play a key role in supporting clinical teams and ensuring the smooth flow of patient administration throughout the maternity journey—from admission through to discharge.

We currently have a full-time opportunity available within our Maternity Unit.

In this role, you will deliver comprehensive administrative and coordination support, contributing to safe, efficient, and patient-centred care in a dynamic maternity setting.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide front-line reception and administrative support to the Maternity Unit.
* Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
* Maintain accurate patient records and data entry in hospital systems.
* Liaise with midwives, obstetricians, paediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Manage incoming calls, enquiries, and patient bookings.
* Support theatre lists and birth suite coordination where required.
* Ensure confidentiality and compliance with patient information standards.

Requirements

* Must provide or complete a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
