About the Role
Echuca Regional Health is seeking a motivated and qualified Pharmacist to join a supportive and collaborative team. As the Grade 3 Oncology Pharmacist you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of oncology and haematology medications across the hospital. This role oversees the training and supervision of pharmacy team members, ensuring optimal service delivery across ERH and regional hospitals.
Key responsibilities
* Responsible for the daily coordination and management of the Cancer and Wellness Centre pharmacy, ensuring timely and accurate preparation, sourcing and supply of all aseptic and oncology medications for patients
* Ensure all oncology patients and carers have access to full clinical pharmacy services, including support and education
* Work within the Wellness Centre to develop and establish a sustainable, best-practice oncology pharmacy service in line with legislation, professional guidelines and standards
* Act as Wellness Centre Project Officer (CPO) for CHARM – the oncology information management system, including medication charts and treatment pathways
* Monitor inventory control and pharmaceutical purchases for oncology to minimise wastage and costs and compile reports as required by the Director of Pharmacy
* Design and implement Quality Improvement and Risk Management activities, preparing presentations and reports for local, state and national forums
* Actively participate in mandatory meetings as required and requested
* Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice
Qualifications/experience required
* Current AHPRA Registration as a Pharmacist
* Member of the Society of Hospital Pharmacy and/ or international equivalent
* Completion of Masters degree in clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice and/ or equivalent
* Minimum of 8 years post registration hospital pharmacy experience, with no less than 3 years as a Grade 2 hospital pharmacist
* Experience in the area of chemotherapy, oncology and haematology
